Hints and Tips for filling in the form

1. Please fill in a valid Customer name and e-mail address so that we can get in contact with you. If you don't provide these details then your report will not be added to the database.

2. The serial number for your machine is written on the back of the instrument above the MIDI ports.

3. The software revision is displayed when the machine first starts up. It should say something like Zeit V01-00BR. Please supply the whole text string.

4. The bug frequency is very important. If it happens all the time then we can probably trace the bug very quickly. If we can trace it quickly then we can correct it quickly. Please don't exagerate this field just to get a faster response.

5. Please be as clear as possible when you write your description of the bug. Detail what you were doing at the time and what the sequencer did. If the sequencer displayed a debug message, try to include the exact details. If the sequencer crashed then please supply any crash code.

6. If you've reported this bug in the past and received a bug report number but the bug has not yet been addressed then please do not report it again. We're aware of the problem and we'll try to fix it as soon as possible.

7. Here's a couple of example descriptions.

  • Attempted to edit a factory defined scale. Pressed Force-to-scale push button and
  • selected Edit Scale Page with the encoder. Press Enter button to highlight the
  • first note however the display shows step 9..12. It should show steps 1..4.
  • ... and another...

  • Selected Sequence 1 then attempted to change the MIDI Channel number via the MIDI pushbutton.
  • Changed MIDI Channel from 1 to 3 but the sequence still plays back on MIDI Channel 1.
  • ... and another...

  • Saved sequence to memory from Sequence menu. Switch the sequencer off and on again
  • but the sequence was not saved.
  • The following is not very helpful.

  • My sequencer won't make any noise. I will toss this useless pile of crap out of the window!
  • 8. Please remember that the use of profane or unplesant language isn't big or clever. It will just get us annoyed. If you cuss or swear at us then I'll simply add your bug report to the very bottom of the list and it won't get fixed until a) you apologise or b) hell freezes over.
