Dave's Little Bit On the Side: A Blog

The blog (RIP)

Sadly, we have decided to remove the blog, this time permanently.

I know that the blog did have a small number of loyal readers who came to visit on a regular basis and we're sorry that we've had to remove your daily fix but such are the demands of the business and the need to develop new instruments and new music, a decision has been made to cease all further updates and to focus completely on new projects.

The various News sections in the individual band web sites will still be updated whenever we have some information and we may use these pages to comment on relevant issues but, as far as the blog is concerned, this really is the end.

Again, I am sincerely sorry to disappoint our regular readers but in view of my ever-increasing workload I need to reduce my online presence as much as possible.

Best wishes
David and Jules

The blog (RIP) update

Following a (small) number of complaints about the blog's demise, I would like to state the following:

1. I was not having a hissy fit or throwing my rattle out of the pram as some people have suggested

2. The blog really did take up far too much time (Yes, I do like the sound of my own voice too much)

3. The number of people reading the blog on a regular basis was very small indeed - no more than 10 at the most

The reasons behind the blog's removal were:

1. I was so busy adding an entry to the blog that I forgot to update the Ion pages so that fans of the music - the very reason that these web pages exist - could listen into The Terry Hawke Show and hear some new choonz. That, in my humble opnion, was absolutely unforgiveable.

2. I'm really not kidding when I said I have a lot of work on at the moment

3. I really, truly, honestly could not be bothered with it any more. I felt that I'd said all that needed to be said

4. I really, really do want to reduce my on-line profile as much as possible

5. Right now, I have 3 album projects and 3 new instrument projects on my plate. There really are not enough hours in the day. If you want to hear more from me then buy an album or an instrument.

Okay, I will still update the News sections within each of the band web sites on a regular basis i.e. when there's some news to report. I may occasionally use the platform to vent my spleen on various issues that are causing me some considerable vexxation. I don't want them to become a diary. I already have one of those and it lives in my studio.

So, to finish. The blog is dead. It ain't coming back. Ever. Sorry. Life is tough.

Now, can we all be friends again, please?
